Christine Cross-Barkley

Christine Cross-Barkley is a life-long resident of Chesterville with strong roots in the region. Christine is retired, after a long career in the health care sector, providing administrative support to the CEOs of both The Royal Ottawa and Winchester District Memorial Hospitals and their respective Boards of Directors. She is currently working part-time at Christ Church United and her son’s construction company. Christine believes in giving back to her community and is always ready to lend a hand. She is a committed volunteer, sharing her time and expertise at Christ Church United, and two years as President of the Chesterville Rotary Club. In 2018 Christine received the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Commitment Award for demonstrating the values that result in compassionate excellence. In 2022 she was a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medallion for her dedication and service to our community. She also received the Paul Harris Award for outstanding community service. Some of her projects have included a community garden, the FAITH Pantry, and working closely with students of Chesterville Public School and their Real World Learning Program. When not helping others, she can be found crafting, fishing, hunting and gardening. She is married with one son and two step-sons. Christine loves nothing more than spending time with and attending church with her three grandchildren Raymond, Everly and Eligh.
